Wishing You a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

With Christmas and New Year around the corner you can’t help but look back and wonder how summer is such a distant memory already, and no doubt the summer of 2022 will also come by in the blink of an eye!

A Year In Review: 2021

Its been a challenging yet very rewarding year for Agri-quest. We have worked through the covid pandemic fortunately with no ill effects. Parts supplies have been affected by the pandemic with the longest lead time being about 3 months! However we have some superb go-to suppliers who seem to be able to source most things at the drop of a hat – many thanks to all of them - especially Simon at SPS Parts.

Harvest was a strange time with combines still going into September, but only minor breakdowns for a change! We always encourage our customers to keep up regular servicing and it’s a testimony to that attitude that they were able to steer clear of most emergencies during that crucial time of the year.

Despite the pandemic our work load has grown and enabled us to employ an apprentice who is now finishing his first term of a 3 year course at local Otley College. Leon is showing great promise, he’s picking up the tricks of the trade and is eager to learn more about the agricultural world and isn’t put off by the long hours and challenging conditions that we work in - especially at this time of the year with freezing cold fingers and feet!

Harry and I really enjoy having another member of the team, and it’s been very useful while we’ve been expanding on the precision engineering side of the workshop. The machining work has been rumbling on in the background giving Harry some challenges and a wide variety of jobs, stainless steel work being one of his particular dislikes, but his skill and patience in this area keeps him busy with it regardless!

Wishing The Best To You All For 2022

We have many talents at Agri-Equest, unfortunately seeing into the future isn't one of them (yet!). Who knows what 2022 will bring, let's hope it is full of good fortune and positivity, but for now let's all have a great Christmas and Happy New year.
